Senior Legal Advisor

BP’s business is the exploration, production, refining, marketing, trading and distributing of energy. BP is organised along two main business segments: Exploration & Production and Refining & Marketing which are supported by a number of key corporate functions whose resources and plans are co-ordinated across the group. As a member of the experienced legal team in Rotterdam, you will be a key advisor to the Refining and Marketing business in the Netherlands and Belgium. You have a broad range of responsibilities: you provide commercially focussed legal advise to the R&M businesses in the region. Also, you take care of the companies contract management system and you are responsible for the corporate structure. Furthermore, you will regularly advise at group level. When necessary, you will liaise with outside counsel in relation to the above.

Profiel

8-10 years experience in an international corporate environment

broad experience in drafting and/or ratifying a variety of commercial agreements, ideally also in competition law

experience in advising on corporate legal matters

strong communication skills and a no-nonsense, hands-on attitude

fluent in English and Dutch, preferably in German
