Senior Legal Counsel

DSM Anti-Infectives is a leading global supplier of active Pharmaceutical ingredients, used in antibiotics for combating a broad spectrum of bacterial and fungal infections. DAI employs some 2500 people worldwide, with its formal headquarters in Delft, the Netherlands, and activities in the Americas, Europe, Africa, India and China.

Currently we seek to recruit an excellent and business oriented lawyer with a strong background in international contract law for the position of Senior Legal Counsel.

As a Senior Legal Counsel you will be responsible for the broad legal support of the business on a global scale and advise the Director and senior management of the company on a wide range of commercial and strategic legal issues. These include major contracts, for example sales contracts, joint ventures, IP-contracts and license agreements, as well as special projects in aid of the ambitious growth path of the industry. Special focus will be on the global activities in new business development. Participation in strategic programs to restructure, acquire or divest business activities as well as competition law will be part of your practice. You will be part of a small experienced team of lawyers.

Profiel

8 to 10 years of broad legal experience

as a lawyer in an international company or with a background in a private law firm and several years of in-house experience

broad experience in (international) contract law and ideally also in competition law

credible partner for the fast paced business and independent counselor at the same time

feel for an environment that is both highly market and technology driven

excellent communication skills, strong personality

solutions and results oriented, business focused

preferably experience in the pharmaceutical industry
