To further strengthen Avantium’s Legal department in Amsterdam in the next phase to commercialization, we are recruiting an energetic, pragmatic, and hands-on team member.
Senior Legal Counsel

As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for a variety of local and cross- border corporate and commercial legal matters (e.g. M&A projects, material business contracts and their negotiation process). In addition, you will advise on finance, IP/licensing and compliance matters and will coach your more junior team members. You will work closely together with the business units, the management team as well as the other support departments. You will align with external counsel when necessary.
In this role, you will report directly to the General Counsel.
Profile
- 7+ years of work experience
- gained as a lawyer within a top-tier law firm and/or as an inhouse legal counsel, preferably in a technology driven environment
- solid knowledge of corporate and commercial law
- experience and affinity with IP law are a plus
- responsible and proactive personality with a strong drive to achieve results and deliver high-quality work
- fluent in English and Dutch
